Three steps to a reading.
A chill, a jolt, a pause. Whatever it was, write it down while it's still fresh.
What stopped you?
Choose the closest description.
What did it stir in you?
Not your life story. Just the moment.
My stomach ached for three days before signing the contract. / I've seen 11:11 for five days straight. / A white feather landed in front of the house.
Everyone knows at least one moment or event
they can't explain.
You're driving toward an intersection, the light is green, and something in you says: wait. You slow down. A car runs the red light right in front of you. You couldn't have known. But something knew.
A thought about someone you haven't seen in months crosses your mind, and they call you that same day. You spot a bird's feather on the ground and a feeling washes over you that you can't quite name. In the middle of an entirely ordinary day, anxiety suddenly grips you, for no reason, until the reason arrives.
Reason calls these moments coincidence. But you sense that something more lies beneath the surface. And most of the time you let them pass, because you have nowhere to note them down and no one who takes them seriously.
For centuries we've called these moments signs. Physicist and microprocessor inventor Federico Faggin offers an explanation for why we take them seriously: consciousness is not a product of the brain, the brain is a receiver. And what the receiver picks up is called a signal. The sign is the envelope. The signal is the letter.
Signal doesn't declare these moments proof.
It takes them seriously: as an invitation to pay attention.
Signal doesn't search for certainty. It searches for meaning.
The world doesn't change.
The observer changes.
Most of the information around us goes unnoticed. The brain filters it out so we can function normally.
But when you start observing your own thoughts, feelings and way of deciding, the quality of your attention begins to change.
That's when some people start noticing things they didn't before. Not because the world changed. But because they started looking at the world around them differently.
"Attention shapes experience.
Meaning is made within the person."
When a feeling is bigger than the moment.
Find a feeling and read a short Velvet Secret note on what it means. A deeper reading with psychological background and a journal question unlocks with Circle.
From first noticing to a pattern.
Every signal has its own depth. Sometimes a single moment is enough. Sometimes the pattern only shows itself over time.

How does the Decoder work?
"My stomach ached constantly for three days before signing the contract. On the surface, the contract was favorable. Everything checked out. But my body wouldn't let up."
The body signal appeared before the decision, not during it — the body sensed a mismatch before reason was even ready to accept it.
Noise would be general anxiety about something new, a physical cause unrelated to the decision, or excessive perfectionism. A signal would mean the body was sensing a values mismatch that reason didn't want to accept — the contract may not have aligned with your deeper priorities.
The Decoder doesn't say which of the two it is. It only shows how your body signals ahead of decisions that aren't in line with your nature — that's data worth observing, regardless of what the contract actually meant.
Reflection question
"Which body signal do you most often ignore, because it feels out of place for the moment it shows up in?"
Key insight
"A signal rarely speaks about the thing itself. It speaks about the mismatch you carry alongside it."
When silence speaks.
Three longer reads on intuition, déjà vu, and how to tell noise from signal.
Why intuition speaks through silence
Intuition isn't loud. That's exactly why we overlook it so often. On why quiet responses often say more.
Déjà vu through psychology and philosophy
Psychology, philosophy and modern views on consciousness: what is actually happening in that moment of knowing?
