Why do dreams speak in images?
Dreams are the language of the unconscious. Carl Jung described them as the royal road to the inner world: they do not predict the future, but reveal what is already unfolding within you, before reason catches on.
When you write down a dream scene, your mind makes meaning. The symbol is an invitation to look at which emotions and thoughts it stirred within you.
"Dreams are the answers to questions we have not yet consciously asked."

What does an interpretation look like?
Symbol: Water
"I dreamed I was standing by a river. The water was dark and fast — I didn't dare step in."
A river in dreams often speaks about the flow of life: how fast it moves, how we experience it, whether we have stepped in or remain on the shore.
Dark, fast water suggests an emotional state that feels uncontrollable — not necessarily dangerous, but one that requires courage to surrender to. Standing on the bank without entering signals that part of you is watching events unfold but is not yet ready to engage.
The dream does not say what must be done. It highlights the tension between the safety of the observer and the call that comes from the current itself.
Reflection question
"Which river in your life are you watching from the bank instead of stepping into?"
Key insight
"Courage is not entering without fear. It is entering in spite of it."
Dreams speak in images.

Dreams and symbols
Why dreams aren't instructions but images that need your feeling and context.
Recurring dreams
When an image keeps returning, the question isn't just what it means. What matters is which feeling comes with it.
Why the dictionary isn't enough
Water can mean calm or flood. The meaning only emerges in the context of your own dream.
